Authorized guide of Prague
________________

My name is Katarina and I propose to be your guide during your visit in my city.

I am a licensed guide for the city of Prague as well as for Czech republic. I have been working as a guide for about 10 years and never thought of changing my profession - it is YOU, my happy and content client that bring me the satisfaction in my profession and motivate me in striving to provide the best of service to you.

Even though I am not a native of Prague, I have been living in this magnificent city for most of my adult years, and I am glad that YOU help me not take its magic and beauty for granted, but always stop and marvel at its old churches, well-kept gardens, breath-taking views and cozy little streets.

THE TOURS OFFER

You can design your tour any way you like, but these are the most common walk which are popular among my clients:

Castle area tour (3 hours)

We start at the Summer palace of Queen Anne, afterwards we walk through the Royal gardens to the largem royal komplex in Europe – the Prague Castle. We will enjoy a magnificent view of the city, then we enter St.Vitus Cathedral  and the Prague Castle. We stop for drink in one of the castle Palaces and end our trip at the bank of the river, not far from the Charles Bridge and the Old Town square.

Prague Old town tour (3 hours)

This tour will show you the best and the oldest streets and monuments of my city! We start at the Charles Bridge, we will see the panorama of the Prague Castle, walk over the bridge to the Old Town where I will show you one of the oldest survived churches in the city, then we will see the Clementinum – National Library, some of the synagogues in the Jewish quarter, and finally we will walk to the Old Town square to watch the show of the Astronomical clock. Our tour will finish up the tower of the Townhall from where you can take some magnificent pictures of the city.

Combined Castle and Old town tour (6 hours)

This tour combines the two most important historical parts of the city, and will give you a great overview of the history, culture and athmosphere of Prague. Since this is a longer trip, we will stop for a typical Czech meal in one of the restaurants in the center (at your discretion)

Jewish quarter tour (3 hours)

The tour of the Jewish quarter starts at the Old town square, from where I will take you to the interiors of four different synagogues (Maisel, Pinkas, Klaus and Spanish synagogue), each of them having an exhibition explaining various aspects of Jewish history and culture, and we will walk through the famous old Jewish cemetery. Add the price of the entrance ticket to the price of the tour (the ticket is 300 CZK, 200 CZK for children up to 15)

Vltava river cruise (1 hour/2 hours with lunch)

The river cruise gives you a different perspective on the magnificent Prague city center … we will cruise under several bridges (including the famous Charles bridge), see the panorama of the Prague Castle, the Government, College of Law, several tours, the Prague-version of the Eiffel tower and a lot more! Get to know Prague in a relaxing mode while sipping your juice and enjoying lunch on the deck.

River cruise 1 hour – 500 CZK/person

River cruise with lunch – 950 CZK/person

Why you should choose me as your guide?

I have over eight years of experience in tourism industry in different places over the world, providing services to different nationalities. Prague is one of my homes and I will gladly share with you about the other places in the world that I love.

I hold the required licences for being a guide in Prague and in Czech republic and I am currently a student of history at the Charles University. I love history and enjoy sharing my knowledge with you in a simple, easy-to-understand manner.

► It might not look like it, but I still do remember the old Communist times. I know what it was like and I can compare with the present that my country lives in today. I would never trade it back.

I am a guide, not a tourist company. You are not paying for my secretary and for the electricity in my office. My tours are more expensive than what you get on the street, but you are my guest who gets all my attention during your stay and I am here just for you and your needs and wishes. I offer you a unique opportunity to get to know Prague in a personal way.

I spent a year in the United States studying the right pronunciation and melody of English, so I will definitely not speak "Czenglish" to you :-)

I am here for you in case you need help with finding accommodation in Prague, you want a transfer from and to the airport, but most of all, if you are interested in tours around the city.
